Undergraduate and graduate courses in human resource management, labor and industrial relations, compensation, organizational behavior, management theory, strategic human resource management, entrepreneurship, public administration, and global ethics.
This year: MGT 310 Management Theory and HRM 316 Labor and Industrial Relations (Fall 2026), after PUB 314 Compensation online in Summer 2026. Both fall courses run on books I wrote: Management, built around the DART model, and California Labor and Industrial Relations.

Real projects, real hours
In MGT 310, about 125 students a semester each put fifteen applied hours into a community project, with skills mapped to NACE career competencies.

Beyond the classroom
- CSU Job Shadow program. Co-founded with Dr. Joan Torné of the Chancellor's Office in 2019 with three Dominguez Hills students; by 2025 it served 33 students from eight campuses and had 59 alumni. Now the Chancellor's Office Student Job Shadow & Career Exploration Program.
- Public Sector Career Exploration Series. Seven sessions with the Volcker Alliance's Government-to-University initiative, co-chairing the Los Angeles region advisory committee, 2020–2023.
- Innovation Incubator. Faculty founder and interim faculty director; 30-plus student and community ventures. More →
- OLE Lab and GMAC Lab. More than 35 students mentored; 11 into graduate programs. More →
- Student organizations. Faculty advisor to the PIHRA and SHRM chapter since 2007, the Toro Entrepreneur Society, and the CSUDH Rotaract Club, which I helped four students charter.
- Mock interviews. A decade of partnership with the Southern California Regional Occupational Center: about 1,000 interviews a year for their students, and real interviewing practice for ours.
- Teaching abroad and away. Albania (five visits), China, a guest lecture and commencement address in Ethiopia, student trips to Bulgaria and Sicily, and a visiting professorship at the University of Wisconsin–Superior in Fall 2025.
